Prathama celebrates World Blood Donor Day 2010

Prathama has started its celebrations of WBDD 2010 at 10am on 14th Jnue 2010 by felicitating 25 time voluntary blood donors and 20 time voluntary blood donors with "Appreciation Certificates" and Silver Medal.
The function attended by 100 odd blood donors presided by city's Income Tax Commissioner Mr.Maheshwari. Mr.Maheshwari and voluntary blood drive organiser Mr.Rathi felicitated the regular voluntary blood donors on this day. Blood donors are thanked for their selfless contribution to the society. Mr.Maheshwari said, As per Indian tradition every human being should try to help fellow human who is in need. Blood donors who continuously involved in such wonderful act are true Indians. They expect nothing in return but keep giving their blood to the society. Mr.Rathi has expressed his full support to the cause by organizing voluntary blood drives in his community.
Mr.Mahesh, MD Prathama Blood Center thanked all blood donors and reinforced confidence in meeting city blood requirement. There were about 30 Silver Jubilee blood donors and about 50 blood donors who donated more than 20 times in their life. All were felicitated.
On the other side, various activities like games, music, dance and other activities commenced in city Malls. Mr.Bharat Shah of Lions International inaugurated activities at 10 Acre City Mall and JCs International President has inaugurated the events at Himalaya Mall. On the other hand Swamiji from Swaminarayan Sansthan Kalupur inaugurated the events at Dev Arc Mall. It is estimated that more than 750 voluntary donors will donate blood on the occasion of WBDD 2010.
