Kidney stones could cause great concern in people. They are worried hoe they got it and are all the more worried when the doctor prescribes surgery as the cure to it. It has also been found that kidney stones are formed due to certain defects in the metabolism of a person. However we need not worry about kidney stones as they can be easily corrected by diet once the cause is found out.

 

Kidney stones can be formed even in people who perspire a lot. The urine gets concentrated due to loss of fluids in the body to form kidney stones. In addition kidney stones are formed in people who lead a sedentary life and is less common in physically active people. Besides, a wrong diet like consuming excess of acid producing foods, white flour, sugar products, meat, tea, coffee, spices and rich foods could also aggravate the formation of kidney stones. Overeating could also be a prominent cause of kidney stones.


Firstly it is of utmost importance to figure out what the kidney stone is made up of; kidney stones made up of calcium phosphate involves the restriction of calcium and phosphate in ones diet. So milk being a main constitute of calcium and cottage cheese, lentils, groundnuts being main constitutes of phosphorous should be avoided. In addition one should also exclude vegetables like peas, beet, spinach, cauliflower, turnips, carrots, almonds and coconuts and soybean, whole-wheat flour, Bengal gram from ones diet.

 

In other cases when the kidney stones constitute of calcium and magnesium phosphates and carbonates, it is advisable to make the urine more acidic. So, taking milk with a few servings of fruits and vegetables like asparagus, fresh green peas, squash, pumpkin, turnips, cauliflower cabbage and tomatoes can be taken. Fruits like watermelon; grapes, peaches, pineapple, pears, pineapple, papaya and guavas can help to control formation of kidney stones.

 

Liberal intake of vegetables and fruits is recommended in case of kidney stones made up of oxalates and uric acid. So dear friends it is best to avoid foods high in oxalate contents like egg plant, brown bread, cabbage, almonds, beetroots, cherry, French beans, soybeans, chocolate, radish and spinach. and high purine content foods like sweat breads, liver and kidney from ones diet.

Besides all these steps it is best to drink a lot of water and fluids to eliminate or lessen kidney stones. This would help to reduce concentration of urine and avoid precipitation of salts leading to the formation of kidney stones. The common basil leaf taken with honey for a period of six months could be very beneficial in avoiding the formation of kidney stones.

 

So dear friends elimination of kidney stones can be done easily if one takes steps to find out what kidney stones constitute of and taking steps to lessen or eliminate them completely.
