HIV-AIDS - An Unusal Way of Spread

Spread of HIV AIDS virus : We always learned that this viral infection spreads through direct blood contacts and mucous membranes agreed that is why we advise people to take care while having sex but there is an exception to the rule . Recently I was attending a course in HIV management at Johanessburg and it was reported by a professor that this disease even can penetrate through an intact skin. It was reported that a physitian who was drawing blood from a patient HIV positive , the blood spilled on his palm which never had a broken skin. after a week the doctor sufferered from fever weakness, headache and lethargic. He didnt take prophylactic drugs for HIV. Very surprisingly he turned out to be rapid test positive and kept on intensive therapy . It is very small story to be cautious about the spread of this infection. Juniors who are entering into this field of management please be careful and dont even let the blood spill on your body. I hope many read this and take precaution.
