The sight of dandruff is unpleasant. It can also lead to excessive hair fall. To get rid of this dandruff you can either use medicated anti-dandruff shampoos or try herbal remedies. The advantage of using herbal remedies over medicated shampoos is that there is no fear of side effects.

Here is a list of some of the most effective herbal remedies to cure dandruff-

Lemon juice- If you have oily hair and dandruff then using lime juice will solve your problem. Squeeze a lemon and add this juice to a mug of water. Rinse your hair with this water after shampooing your hair. Do not rinse your hair with plain water after this.

Fenugreek seeds- Grind two handfuls of fenugreek seeds in water. Apply this paste on your scalp. Leave it on for an hour before shampooing. Within a month of using this remedy you will notice drastic reduction in dandruff.

Rosemary oil- Massage your scalp regularly with rosemary oil. Do this half an hour before washing your hair. Rosemary oil can help cure dandruff.

Green gram powder- Make a smooth paste by mixing four tablespoons of green gram powder to a cup full of curd. Apply this herbal pack on your hair twice a week. Leave it on for about half an hour before washing your hair.

To get rid of dandruff, it is absolutely necessary to compliment your anti-dandruff treatment with a well balanced and nutritious diet.
