Oats, Museli, Vegetable Upma , Vegetable Khichidi, Idiyappam,Appam and Idlis are great breakfast options as they provide a steady supply of energy to the body.

2) Keep yourself hydrated!

When kids are in the comfort of their room and with the AC on, they end up drinking less water and fluids.

A dehydrated body and mind may become tired and dull . Ensure that your kids drink enough water. They can also have fresh fruit juices , salads , buttermilk or lime juice.

3) Avoid too much of caffeine and eating junk food outside.

Drinking too much of coffee/tea/energy drinks will not let your kids sleep properly when they really need to sleep.Eating junk food outside may cause food poisoning and stomach upsets as the kids are already stressed and their immunity is low during that time.

4) ‘Parents should not pass on their anxiety to the kids during this time.

Instead, they should take care of the child’s diet.Fresh juices are ideal while studying and a veggie sandwich is the best midnight snack. Walnuts and almonds curb stress while lassi and chocolate milk energizes the body.

5)Ensure that he or she takes time out to relax in between studies’.
