Women and her body has always been a reason of discourse and discussions, and at the same time restrictions over history. objectifying and demanding the perfect woman by her body and character is a trend that still looms in our society. When there was a fuss about virginity of a woman, who knew that it would be possible to go under knife and revive her life. Here, I am talking about hymenoplast, which is a new medical boon helping thousands of women gaining their lost gift back, virginity, a mark of purity of a woman in our society. Hymenopalsty is a minor surgical procedure to repair the hymen of a woman.

Hymen is a thin membrane of delicate tissues that cover the vagina until it gets ruptured by reasons such as penetration, intensive exercises, and stretching to name a few. in almost all the religions, this hymen layer is a tell-tale sign if the woman had had sexual intercourse before or not.

Hymenoplasty is a surgery for reconstructing the hymen membrane. It does not require the patient to get admitted in the hospital, as she can be discharged within half an hour post surgery. The post-surgery conditions would include minor pain, minor irritation in sitting, urinating. 

Hymenoplasty has evolved as a boon as well as a curse to the society, where a woman can regain  her virginity, but is also boosting the offensive preference of virgin bride for marriages. It is the future to decide how much this new science could be useful to the society, and how it could affect the norms.
