Most back problems starts due to wrong posture. Sitting in the right posture is extremely important to avoid back problems. Yoga and science says that posture is the most important thing. It is important to arrange your work station so that you don’t end up breaking your back.  So, sit straight and do not stoop too much in forward.

If you are working for long hours in front of the computer in wrong posture muscular imbalance occurs between the abdominal muscles and the lower back muscles and if the same continues for a long period of time it may result in changing the curve of your spine. If you loose the natural curvature of the spine it is next to impossible to regain it. It is very important to maintain the right posture while sitting especially if you work for long hours.

Once the natural curvature is lost there is chances of developing arthritis problems, upper and lower back problem and even disk problem. The healthiest way to sit is that you should have a back support because that will distribute the load equally on the spine. Choose you chair carefully. Rest both hands on the arm rest of the chair. Take short breaks and do abdominal and spinal muscle exercises. Stretch your self after every half an hour at your wok station.
