For a good sex life, avoid foods that make you age prematurely. Eliminate excess calories, saturated fat, cholesterol, sugar or salt. They slow you down by clogging the arteries that lead to the heart and brain. You may be at an increased risk for heart attacks and stroke. They also block the smaller blood vessels going into the lower body.
If you have an uninterrupted flow of blood to all parts of your body, it is more possible that you will be aroused easily.
It’s not for nothing that Italians are supposed to be the world’s best lovers. The Mediterranean diet is the best to keep our hearts pumping. This diet is rich in heart-healthy unsaturated fats, red wine, whole grains, lean proteins and antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables. It improves sexual function, even among people with type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome and erectile dysfunction.
Stock up your kitchen with whole-grain breads, cereals and pastas. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies, as well as lean proteins, such as salmon and chicken. Exercise for an hour daily. You can walk, dance, stretch, swim or play a favourite sport. But do not go cycling or do something that strains your crotch. To top it all, do get your 8 hours of sleep so that you are fresh and ready to go, when your partner demands your attention!
