It is very essential for a person to eat healthy and nutritious food, however it is also good to fast at regular intervals to overhaul ones systems to enjoy good health. Yes, it is good to give rest to ones digestive system to help cleanse the body and rid it of toxins. Fasting has also many benefits for physical, mental and emotional health. So dear friends it is best to fast regularly to reap all the benefits promoting good health.

 

Dear friends you can fast to increase your immunity power. One should fast for detoxification. Our body has various toxins the harm our body causing physical and mental diseases. Once our body id rid of toxins we would not only enjoy good health but also be relieved of all the toxins. In addition it is best to believe that our digestive system also requires some rest periodically to function better.

 

Your body is just like any other machinery that requires overhauling from time to time. This would help our body and different systems like the respiratory system,  circulatory system, urinary system and digestive system to work better. This overhauling and detoxification helps the body to eliminate urine, toxins and other impurities from the body.

 

There are people who fast for religious purposes also. Basically the religious purpose of fasting has a spiritual base behind it. Fasting helps promote spiritual growth. Fasting helps one to become calm and composed and also helps to eliminate negative feelings and emotions like hatred, revenge, anger and jealousy. Elimination of negative thoughts and emotions and fostering of positive emotions like calmness, contentment and overall happy feelings helps one to enjoy overall good physical, mental and emotional health. 

 

Health specialists, doctors and healers are of the opinion that one should fast for about 3 days in a month with just fruit juices and water. This would help overhaul and detoxify the body. Yes fasting eliminates the harmful affects caused due to of tension, excitement and passion. Dear friends, fasting on a regular basis promotes harmony and good functioning of  head, heart, body and mind. One is sure to be mentally and spiritually stronger with added concentration and meditation powers and promotion and maintaining of  chastity and celibacy. . 

 

To sum up fasting regularly is very beneficial for ones physical, mental and emotional health.
