Why I am hooked to Yoga?

I randomly decided to take up yoga in July 2010 when I was struggling with my weight and  needed some emotional boost up  because my husband was leaving on a foreign deputation for a year. I did not know anything about yoga and thought it to be boring. But the miracle it did to me in just three months both physically and emotionally got me hooked to it. I became a regular at the yoga class and feft lighter both from inside and outside.


Today I cherish my mind and body. It is one and a half years now that I am practicing yoga. Yoga has brought a dramatic change in my attitude and of course physically too. I feel I am born with a complete flexible body and doing yoga helps me keep it that way. Yoga helps me to touch my soul. It is a complete wellness within myself.


Yoga has the power of reviving you not just externally, but internally too. Yoga has the power of making you healthy from within and outside. To achieve significant result it requires rigorous practice. It is a way of living healthy and to reap the benefits you have to be really patient.


It is a myth that yoga does not help in weight loss. One needs to be right with the postures to lose weight. It helps you to tone your muscles and also makes sure that you don’t gain excess weight even if you are sometimes irregular with your practice. Yoga helps in spiritual cleansing as well which is very important for our overall health.
