Sometimes we keep forgetting the names of our neighbours and even I have seen my father going to the extent of looking for his specs in spite of he wearing the specs. There are ways by which we can keep our brains alive. Leave the couch habit and go for a long walk that will make you healthy and wise. So take the stairs instead of using the elevator. Instead of driving down to the nearby departmental store, just walk down and walk fast whenever you are walking.

The Mediterranean diet can do wonders to your brains. Diet rich in vegetables, seafood, whole grains, fresh vegetables and plant based oils can do wonders to our brains. Seafood is loaded with vitamin B12 which maintains the outer covering of nerves, and the deficiency of which causes loss of memory.

Learn and try new things. If it is always that you wanted to learn French or Spanish then join a class. Studies show that people who take the initiative to learn a new art or language or do some studies which increases their knowledge are likely to have their brain ticking in the right direction even whne they are old.

Crosswords and computer games helps aged people to keep their hand and brain coordination in the proper direction. Brain fitness will help you improve your performance at work place.
