Tips to Plan a Weekly Menu

Tip 1: Ask your family members what they would like to eat. If you are the one cooking, you can take into consideration what others in the house might want to eat. So ask what food they like and decide what you can add and decide accordingly.


Tip 2: Put it on a calendar what you would like to eat in the next few days. This will make the planning more realistic and your work much easier.


Tip 3: Don’t overstuff the refrigerator. You will forget what is there in the fridge if you over stuff your fridge. Sometimes food gets hidden behind and finally gets spoilt. So keep your refrigerator spacious and airy.


Tip 4: Make a shopping list. Shop all that you need and don’t buy things that you actually do not need. Check your meal calendar, then look for recipes and jot down the ingredients you need to shop for. Then go shopping.


Tip 5: Use the leftovers. Make a little extra of everything. This will ensure that in case of an emergency or sheer boredom, you don’t have to bother about preparing a meal. Also if you cook a little extra dinner, you can use the leftovers for lunch the next day.
