Step1- Don’t be difficult with food: Did you know that it is possible to train your taste buds to like something that you don’t? Take for instance bitter gourd. You can try cooking it in a way that can kill the bitterness out of bitter gourd. So do not categorize food as favourite or a food that you just hate eating.
Step 2- Chew your food well. Leave the wolfing down of the food to the wolves. When you already have a mouthful of food just chew it patiently before you swallow it. When you are just gobbling down the mouthfuls, you are not enjoying your food and not even breathing properly.
Step 3- Don’t eat out of boredom. Figure out if you are really hungry. If yes then eat by all means, but never eat just because you had a bad day or your child or for that matter anybody mis- behaved with you. Avoid binging just because just because you are not in a good mood.
Step 4- Enjoy your food. Don’t just eat good because you are hungry. Make food interesting and appealing to the eye. Don’t have quickie meals sitting in front of the television or computer.
Step 5- Appreciate your food. Consider yourself to be lucky that you can afford food. So eat with an open mind and it will surely nourish your body.
