One needs to lose weight primarily to feel good and fit and not just to look good. But people all over the world are obsessing about losing weight and looking thin. They are even ready to take the drastic route to lose weight and by doing this they are risking their health. An obsession with weight loss results to depression and frustration. In this frustration to look good they resort to extreme methods like starvation, over-exercising and use of fat burners. Starvation leads to storage of fat in the body which in turn reduces the metabolic rate and in the long run leads to weight gain.

Fat burners which is becoming a fad these days is extremely harmful for the health. Fat burners leads to disruption of the normal functions of the body and causes a disruption in the natural body functioning. People tend to get hyper, irritable and temperamental. Fat burners also leads to head ache, thirst, bloating of stomach, cramps, loss of appetite and increased stool frequency.

The most commonly available fat burners in the market are Lipo6, Thermopro, Thermo Lean and Hydroxycut.

• Fat burners are commonly composed of chemicals like ephedrine, caffeine and aspirin. Of these ephedrine is addictive. The use of these pills results in extreme side effects like dry mouth, headaches, fear and anxiety which seem easily manageable, but actually cause a lot of damage to the organs.

• An extreme overdose can result in seizures and also cardiac palpitations. Fat burners if used regularly can create pressure on the kidney and thus resulting in renal failure.

• Levels of Vitamin E are lowered in the body due to excessive use of fat burners.

• Gas, bloating, fatty stools and diarrhea are also commonly seen.

• Chances of developing rashes, itching, swelling of the lips, continuous coughing, diarrhea or blood in the stools and vomiting may be seen as allergic reactions to fat burners. A doctor must be contacted at once for proper treatment.

We should keep in mind that staying natural is the key to being healthy. We should stay away from fat burners because they are foreign substances which hamper the normal functioning of the body.
