Now that we are going through the winter season it is important to deal with the skin care challenges like the dry skin says Dr Chiranjiv a reputed dermatologist.

* Dry skin looks dull because it is caused by dead skin cells and both need to be dealt with by exfoliating on a daily basis.

* Honey and brown sugar exfoliates and moisturizes skin but according to skin specialist Dr Rashmi they are harsh scrubs.Dr Rashmi suggests that we should go for products that have nature exfoliating properties. She recommends lime juice that should be applied on the skin and left for atleast 5 minutes before washing it off.

* In the case of tamarind Dr Rashmi suggests that the tamarind pulp should be rubbed for a couple of minutes which will make dead cells to dissolve away.

Here is a daily/weekly skin care routine for your hands and feet

* Massage your skin with sesame seed oil before having a bath. Use a mild glycerine soap. Immediately after bath use a body lotion while the skin is still damp.

* Mix besan with curd and a little lemon juice and a little turmeric into a paste.Apply it on the hands and feet twice a week.Wash it off after half an hour.

* Also you can mix four tablespoons of sunflower oil and four table spoons of lemon juice and five table spoons of sugar. Mix well to form a paste. Rub it on the hands and feet. Wash it off after 15 minutes. Do this twice or thrice a week.
