But a baby food diet cannot satisfy an adult’s complete nutritional requirements.  *The food requirement of an adult and a baby are different. For instance the amount of protein, calcium and iron required by an adult is definitely higher compared to a baby’s needs. There is a risk of those on a baby food diet can suffer from anemia and calcium deficiency.

*Baby food is extremely low in calorie and does not provide adequate energy required by an adult to carry on with the regular chores.

*Sodium content in baby food is not there so this can lead to low blood pressure.

*Since fibre content is again very low and most of the baby foods are in puree form, it can lead to constipation as well when consumed by adults.

*Baby food damages the teeth if it is consumed by adults because adults need solid food to eat and chew. Consuming baby food on a regular basis can lead to damaging the bones of the teeth.

*Babies do not require huge quantity of Vitamin E so if an adult is consuming baby food it might lead to thinning of hair.

*Baby food cannot satisfy an adult’s hunger for a meal because baby foods are mostly in puree form and when an adult is hungry he or she wants to chew on to something and eat. So there is a tendency to start binging.
