We are flooded with what to do when detected true diabetes mellitus DM. First once only raised Blood Sugar unconfirmed by PP2BS or Glucose Tolerance test is not Diabetes. Then Most can be managed by Diet and exercise habit and lifestyle changes. Some require Oral medicines with dose changing according to ones diet,or disease. All Infections any where raise your blood levels. But lot of lay information is false and non scientific and will misguide diabetics who are loosing eyes legs kidneys and heart or life  due to wrong ideas about diabetes. Please read this well and consult a Diabetologist for more complicated cases. Science is the most natural pathy.

Diabetes is a chemical ‘locha’-mismatch – a condition where digestion of all three Nutrients-carbohydrate fat and protein processing-metabolism ,is not proper due to lack of needed amount or improper insulin. Whether you believe in any ‘Pathy’ but the fact remains that whatever reduces ‘’blood sugar’’ all the 24 hours is what is medicine, all others are false. All round steps of Will power, right medicines, Insulin when needed, Diet and Guided Exercises will make Diabetes non harmful to you.

 
Diabetes is a disease of calories not only sugar or carbs-all cereals grains maida rice only, But all foods, fats and proteins ! Plan your diet according to your activity and total calorie requirements-1600-2400 per day-broken into five portions. Example; Ayurvedics say eat Honey instead of sugar! Proteins…00 fat..99.4 % carbo ..gives 398 calories ..0.1`gms minerals…calcium..12 mgms..phosphorus..1 mgm…iron only 0.155 mgm!!!..gol jaggerry has too 383 calories like sugar juice and only 2.84 mgm iron all in 100 grams food –will you eat so much gol..  All sweet things have same calories but high ‘Glycemic Index’-ability to spike your Blood Sugar levels high and can be taken in small amounts-as per calories counting by all diabetics or avoided as per diet plan.Learn to Count Calories each time you open your mouth!eat for your taste not to fill stomachs with high calorie foods.

 
Exercise well. Small session after food can control minimally risen Blood Sugar-from 225% reduced to 180 % PP2BS.But walks after meals, strength building isometric against gravity Exercises will build your muscles and help medicines and diet control your blood sugar .Lift weights when sitting. Lift your own selves when standing on your toes or climb steps.

Insulin: Some do need it on sub cutaneous -inside body fat injections three times a day when one is having a disease, a Operation or life time in bad control, worst affected-minimal body insulin cases .Accept it use modern Insulin pens or Syringes ,use abdomen stomach area below belt -sari fold to take it by self .Initially seems difficult then see others do it and get strength to support your body need in time-Insulin.Right dose at right time with right kind, guided by Blood sugar meters readings  at home and Advice of your qualified doctors.

Some doctors label you diabetic after few blood sugar level..stress ,non exercise fatty body can misguide you. We allopathic doctors start therapy after diet exercise and life style changes are not able to control diabetes. Blood sugar is just a one indication at that time moment of our body’s machine. we use it to give Insulin to bad high sugar patient or to those who are having Surgery or infection, temporarily  or permanently. Do not propagate wrong ideas amongst the most vulnerable group of patients ..diabetics. who want to love eating esp sugars or high calories food. Even sev or fried foods or pea nuts-sing dana 100 gms will give 500 calories! It will take two hours of severe exercise to digest that 100 grams.! All tasty food with high calories value will raise blood sugar. These ideas break old notions and prevent disasters.
