I wonder what human nature is. The old story of evolution of man’s existence had undergone a revolutionary and drastic change resulting in the evolution of a finer form of being.
All the way from the theory of evolution to the theory of relativity, many amazing and spectacular facts have been revealed. But the understanding of human nature still stands complicated, an unsolved mystery and a puzzle. If we ponder over some of the vital ingredients of human nature, we realize that it consists of pain and pleasure, success and failures, ends and entrances and even ecstasy and agony. This normal emotional display of human nature is transient. What really matters is the repercussions, it leaves on the sub-conscious mind.
On one hand success brings happiness and joy, while on the other hand, pain, gloom or disappointment take the heart by storm and entirely breaks and shatters our existence. Today what we need is a harmonious balance between the two so that the state of equilibrium is not disturbed.
It is rightly said-“The world is a comedy for those who think and tragedy for those who feel”. We all know very well that the person who thinks, is the one who wins in the end. One should believe in making the right and positive efforts in pursuit of the achievement of his goals.
Here, I would like to mention that nature plays an important role in grooming an individual. Various aspects of an individual’s life are the manifestations of his or her family life, society and environment.
Often, it is seen that a person reflects his image in his environment. Nature is certainly not a process of picking and culling among individuals but is definitely a reflection of inner consciousness.
Coleridge, the famous poet has personified nature as a lady:
“Oh Lady we receive
But, what we give
In our heart alone doth
Nature live”
I believe that modifications of behavior and adaptability to the environment are the pre- requisites of an educated person. It envisages the development of physical and mental abilities in an individual.
Human nature and its implications are vast and varied. Generations have come and will keep coming and the only thing remaining on the sands of time, will be the imprints of immortal scholars. The human nature is intricate and delicate to comprehend. It is a labyrinth of thoughts, ideas, interwoven emotions and feelings. It certainly, requires a subtle understanding.
