Dark Chocolate- Dark chocolate boosts up the serotonin levels. This plays a key role in dealing with stress. Researchers of the Duke Medical center have found that lower serotonin levels lead to more extreme reactions when the body encounters stress. However indulgence is not a good idea.  

 

Almonds- Almonds are a healthy and stress fighting snack. Munch on almonds to relieve stress. Nuts are rich in vitamin E, which boosts your immunity. A healthy immune system reduces your probability of falling sick. If you are healthy, means you will be less stressed.

 

Oranges- An orange a day keeps stress away! Oranges are rich in vitamin C. They aid the immune system. Oranges also help in reducing the physical and psychological effects of stress on the body.


Spinach- Spinach and other dark leafy green vegetables are loaded with magnesium. Magnesium is a major stress fighter and helps to relax muscle fibers and puts you at ease.

 

Fish- Fishes like salmon are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Fish is a perfect stress-fighting dinner option. Omega-3 acids boost mood and brain function. Thus they aid in dealing with anxiety and depression.
