                                 BACH FLOWER THERAPY

Bach Flower remedies are the remedies prepared from dilution of flowers essence. It was developed by Edward Bach in the early 1930’s. Bach flower remedies are similar to Homeopathy but these remedies are not successively diluted as in homeopathy. Also bach flower remedies are not based on the principle of ‘Similia Similibus Curanter’ as homeopathy is based on. These remedies contain small amount of flower dilution and water or alcohol.

Dr. Edward Bach was the well-known physician, homeopath and bacteriologist. He studied medicine in Birmingham. Dr. Bach believed that human body has connection with the mind. So if a person has any physical illness it is due to disharmony at mental level. And when this mental harmony is maintained the physical body is well maintained too. The Bach Flower Therapy heals our emotional and mental maladies and restores the happiness of mind.

After researching for many years Dr Bach invented 38 remedies with a Rescue Remedy. Rescue Remedy is the mixture of 5 Bach flower remedies that contains Clematis, Cherry plum, Impatiens, Star of Bethlehem and Rock rose. It is the most widely used remedy in acute cases and emergencies like the bad news, shock, family emergencies, severe anxiety or fears. It helps you to calm your mind and face the situation. Never take the rescue remedies for longer time.

The medicines are prescribed based on the person’s mental state like anxiety, fear, lack of confidence, depression, etc. Each remedy is prescribed for different mental state.
