    • Get a good nights sleep with hot milk. Add a pinch of nutmeg and a little cardamom for taste.

 

These spices help to reduce the many digestive problems that some experience with regards to intake of milk.

  • If your digestion is good you can add other dairy products, like cheese and yogurt for luinch.
  • Sheeps milk or goats milk is good if cows milk cause digestive problems for you.
  • Goat's milk has astringent properties and propels digestion and is advisable for people with slow digestion problem ( one of the 6 tastes in Ayurvedic nutrition is astringent )

There are other alternative solutions of calcium apart from milk for those who want to cut the intake or stop taking dairy products due to health issues.

* pumpkin and sunflower seeds which can be added to your salads

* sesame seeds are rich in calcium
    * Brocolli and other dark green leafy vegetables
