When I look back at the days when I was a medical student, I can't help but admire the way in which my teachers guided me in becoming a good physician.

Medicine can never be learned only through textbooks. Even though one may know the theory of the disease, talking to a sufferring person, making him or her comfortable and hepling them to recover is an art that has to be learned.

Sadly, many medical institutions in recent times are lacking in quality teachers.  State governments have woken up and increased the salaries for teachers recently. There are many experienced doctors willing to teach on part time basis but some stubborn teaching hospitals insist on full time presence. Its about time that the interests of students is given utmost importance and flexible policies are made.

Teachers also have a great responsibility in providing quality teaching. Powerpoint presentations and creative exercises will make medicine interesting for students.

Hoping that quality teaching will produce excellent doctors in the future...
