During this rainy season we are bound to get some air borne and water borne diseases. Waterborne diseases could be dysentry, cholera, typhoid etc. Air borne diseases could be cold, asthma, arthritis, skin diseases etc. Major reasons for these diseases would be unhygienic conditions. The roads are dirty, contaminated water, uncleanliness etc.

Prevening ourselves from diseases is of utmost importance.

Always dring boiled water. This could prevent you from diarrhea, cholera etc.

Eat easily digestible food like porridge, liquid food etc.

The clothes that you wear should be dry and clean.

Do not get wet in the rains. Always wear a raincoat or take an umbrella while going out in the rains. Wash your hands as soon as you come home.

You can exercise daily for 30 minutes to avoid certain common diseases.

See a doctor immediately if cold, fever or diarrhea worsens. Children should be given good care during rainy season.

Pregnant women should also take care of themselves during rainy season. Pregnant women can wear comfortable cotton clothes. Avoid tight fitting clothes. Basic hygiene has to be maintained. Pregnant women should keep themselves hydrated and eat nutritious food.

We all love and enjoy rains. It is also important to take care of ourselves during this season. That would make this season much more pleasant.
