Looking and feeling great is vital for all of us.  There are a few easy ways to look good and feel better and one thing that is very important is that we need to feel good from inside to look good.  

 

It is natural to feel worried occasionally, but worry should not interfere with your family life. Detoxifying your body occasionally helps to give positive energy. But again too much of fasting is not good for the health. It can lead to fall in blood sugar levels, a fall in hormones linked with cancer and diabetes, lower level of harmful blood fats and les inflammation.

 

Exercise at least three to four times a week. Sometimes we do not get enough time to exercise, during those days, just do a little stretches or else go for a brisk walk for half an hour. It doesn’t matter how old you are or how inactive you have been, just doing a little bit of exercise right now can make a lot of difference to your both physical and mental health. German scientists found out that even people who did not exercise before their 40s could cut their risk of heart disease by 55 percent by doing regular activity.

 

For those who sink into depression every now and then meditation can be really effective. And we all know that there can be no other better medicine for good health than laughter. Numerous studies have shown that when you laugh, stress hormones decrease, immunity improves and cholesterol and blood pressure level falls.

 

There is nothing like positive thinking. Tell yourself every time whenever you are in a dilemma that everything is going to be fine. Research has shown that optimistic people recover from any diseases faster and they even have better immune system. It has also been seen that optimistic people live longer. Make it a point to sleep for at least 7 to 8 hours. During sleep the body stress chemistry shuts down and this way you are able to deal with stress better.

 

Right posture is not only important in the way you look, but it also has long term health benefits. Stand evenly with your back straight, tummy tucked in and buttock squeezed. If you are standing straight, your spine is straight and that makes you look confident and even taller and fitter. This will posture will give you no back pain and no abdominal fat as well. Don’t slouch even when you are working on the computer. Sit straight with your shoulder blades behind.

 

The latest research suggest s that fish oils may go beyond relieving joint pains and at the same time slow down the progress of osteoarthritis. Last but not the least is that we should all make time for friendship. Make time for friends and in this way you are investing in your own well being. A heart chat with your friends can actually light up your day.
