Social networking can really lift up your spirits. But one should do it intelligently. Many of us while putting in our status or our comments forget that we are being watched on Facebook. It is important that we are cautious about what we are posting even with privacy settings. We can get in touch with our old school friends whom we have not met for ages. It makes us feel so much better. However I heard from a friend of mine that her husband got really furious when he came across some comments on her photograph by the male friend. The fact is that social networking is like being in a party where everybody is watching you. Don’t forget there is a lot of ‘overhearing’ on line.
Human brain is still not tuned to read emotions online. Lack of conventional forms of feedback can make one a bit casual. Women should watch out for this when they mention anything online. It may be just a casual comment, but it can be interpreted in a different way.
Treat social networking as a stressbuster. Facebook has become a complete addiction for many of my friends and they just can’t do without logging on to it. Well whenever I feel low, I just log on to Facebook and just by watching other happy people makes me feel happy. Social networking can be your best judge. You can constantly monitor your life while on Facebook.
