Garlic, turmeric, ginger, pepper and jalapenos are believed to be cancer fighting agents. Ginger is said to fight ovarian cancer, it kills cancer cell in more than one way. Turmeric and cumin offers protection against bladder and gastrointestinal cancer. The anti-inflammatory effects of turmeric help to fight cancer. It is a common ingredient in curry powder.

 

Tea contains flavonoids known for their antioxidant effects. Flavonoid offers protection against ovarian and breast cancer. Breast cancer has the highest amount of antioxidants called polyphenols. So you can enjoy your cup of tea to avoid cancer.

 

Almonds, walnuts, pistachios contain antioxidants that prevent cancer. Walnuts in particular contain phytosterols, which block oestrogen receptors in cancer cells which protects the body against prostrate and breast cancer. Flax seeds contain lignans that slow down the growth of cancerous cells and are rich is omega-3-fatty acids, which helps in prevention of certain cancers and it is good for the heart as well.

 

Soya products also have anti-cancerous properties. It has been speculated that soya protects against lung, rectal, colon, stomach, prostate and breast cancer. They are great sources of protein as well.
