Bollywood movies have given you the romantic notion of letting down your hair and swinging it around in a dance of monsoon joy and in the cold winter. Your hair needs to be protected all the time be it the monsoon, the winters or the scorching summer heat.

If you are unable to manage your hair then get a funky, short haircut that is easily manageable and low maintenance too. Styling products like the gels and serums flatten your hair, make them sticky and are extremely hard to wash off. Flaunt your natural hair, without any perming, straightening or colouring, and use hair styling products only if it is genuinely necessary.

Always use shampoo and conditioners that suit your hair type. Go for a wide-toothed comb and avoid brushing wet hair. Simply pat dry your hair with a soft towel. Also avoid using hair accessories or tying your hair up when it is wet.

Drink a cup of amla juice in the morning. You can also have a glass of warm water empty stomach that in turn will cleanse the system and give sheen to your hair. Eat a lot of fruits and salads. Keep yourself away from oily and spicy food.
