Definitely yes. Wake up in the morning. Take a cup of green tea instead of a milky ,thick and sugary tea or coffee. You have already saved on some calories. Oats for breakfast. Or you may try some medically acceptable protein concentrates. avoid a rich, tasty oily breakfast. Some calories avoided again. Have a veg sandwich made of whole wheat bread with no jam or cheese at about 11.00am.

Lunch should be as light as possible. Maybe two chappatis with some vegetable. Sandwich again at 4.00pm.

Dinner should be a veg.soup, a bowl of veg salad and a bowl of fruit. You may feel hungry all the time with the above dietary regimen. but then over a period of a week or two, you'll get accustomed to it.

And you'll definitely loose weight. Combine this with brisk walking for about an hour every day and some free hand exercises. Avoid sugar, milk, butter and salt to a great extent and you'll see the difference.

Actually we need very little food to survive. And we eat 4 to 5 times of what we actually require. So cut down the volume progressively and see the results.

There is a constant inner battle between being healthy and fit and being accepted. Dieting is good so long as one does not punish himself and feel guilty to have occasional snacks of what one likes. Yes, I do agree that some alterations in eating habits and lifestyle are needed to maintain good health.
