How to find freedom from alcohol

How difficult it is to take a decision to stop your alcohol addiction. May be you've considered an expensive program that will take a long time to see results. Are you trying to achieve sobriety? Are you ready to stop drinking for good?

 

Below are some easy steps which can help you stop drinking alcohol.

 

1) Recognize your problems which are giving you the most trouble and try to find out the solutions. Alcohol is not the solution to your problems. In-fact drinking alcohol creates more problems. Try to find the situations that make you drink alcohol. Figure out the root causes of problems and understand the problems, understand its nature; you may be able to find the solutions to the problems because the solution is not separate from the problem.

 

2) You should know why to quit drinking alcohol. There are number of reasons to quit alcohol, from your health to your financial status, from you relationships to your love life. Come up with the reasons. It will help you quitting alcohol.

 

3) Think positively. Have the 'I can do it attitude'.

 

4) Recall bad memories of alcohol.

 

5) Think about your future. You want to be happy, healthy and successfull.Believe in present. Your current actions can affect your future. The time you think to stop drinking is the time you start to become happier and healthier.

 

6) Analyze your day’s events. Get busy with good events. Every second is important. Drinking alcohol is the waste of time and money. Try to do creative things during the hours you would normally be drinking.

 

7) Avoid friends who are addicted to alcohol or you can try to meet them only at times when they are not drinking. Advice them that there are so many things in the world better than alcohol. Change the friends if you find that they revolve their lives around alcohol.
