Omega-3 fatty acids like fish oil and vegetable helps the body adapt to stress, reducing oxidative damage caused by stress. Other foods that have Omega -3 are soy- beans, tofu, some nuts and seeds like walnuts, flax seeds and pumpkin seeds. Fish oil is good and helpful against cardiovascular diseases.

Omega fatty acids are essential oils that the body cannot produce, so one needs to include it in the diet from various sources. Fish oil helps lower blood pressure and improves the function of the blood vessel cell lining. Beautician, Kavitha Koshy says, “Omega -3 is excellent for hair and skin and I strongly recommend it for forty plus women because it stops the process of aging.”

Omega-3 lowers the level of major stress hormones. Omega-3 can reduce the risk of sudden cardiac death. Green leafy vegetables and walnuts are excellent sources of Omega-3. One does not need to take Omega-3 suppliment and can use it in the normal cooking medium. Sunflower oil and olive oil are good enough sources. Flax seed oil can be used, but excessive use can be harmful for the health. Non- vegetarians can increase their intake of fish oil in the form of sardines, salmon and mackerels.
