One may wonder when one visits the doctor for treatment of any ailment that doctors are taught in their profession to tell patients, " Drink a lot of water, it will help." But I do not blame them as water has been found to cure most diseases.Yes, you all are right water helps to cure stress, tiredness and for general health.
The question now arises how much water should one drink for good health. In the normal course of health one should drink atleast 8 to 10 glasses of water in a day. This is very necessary to keep the body hydrated. If one cannot drink plain water it is better to add it to fresh fruit juices and have it. People who tend to perspire more need more of water to compensate for loss of body fluids. In addition it is very necessary to drink a lot of water in summer too.
It may be next approriate to talk about when one should drink water. When one does exercise it is good to drink water before starting to exercise. It is also necessary to have fluids or water at the end of an exercise regimen to compensate for loss of body fluids.Taking small sips of water in-between also helps.
One should drink water to feel energetic. It also helps one to feel good about himself. Drinking of plain tap water does a lot of good, but in these days of pollution it is better to drink boiled water or water purified by filters-cun-purifiers. It is however best to avoid drinks containing soda or caffeine because they make one feel good only temperoriy, but sap up ones energy in the long run. Taking lime or lemon juice, coconut water and natural fruit juices in place of water also helps.
Moderation of everything is good for health and this applies to our consumption of water too. Excess intake of water could lead to hypernutremia, which actually causes excess of water in your system and could make one sick. It lies purely in our discretion to balance and drink water or fluids when one is dehydrated but avoid excesses.
So dear friends do keep yourself hydrated by drinking enough water, but not much to be dick with hypernutremia,
