Ladies! You’ll actually glow with these home-made remedies for your skin. So get rid of all the chemical-laden cosmetic stuff at home! Instead, keep these bare essentials handy in the refrigerator:
1. Almonds crushed and powdered.

2. Fresh milk/milk cream

3. A bottle of honey from a good brand.

4. Fresh lemon juice

5. Rose water or gulab jal

6. Curd

7. Lots of ice

Make sure you have a supply of these in the pantry for precious sun relief:

1. Gram flour or besan

2. Turmeric or haldi

3. Sandalwood powder or chandan powder

Step 1: Make a natural cleanser/face wash:

Mix a few drops of milk in a teaspoon of gram flour and turmeric powder. Splash your face with cool water. Now, rub the scrub all over your face with the tips of your fingers in a circular, upward motion. Use drops of milk or water to soften the scrub if it begins to dry. Splash your face with cool water and dab lightly with a soft towel. Moisturise with a drop of milk cream mixed with rose water. Those who have oily skin may use only rose water for petal-soft skin.

Step 2: Make a face-lightening mask for all skin types:

Mix a teaspoon of almond powder with four drops of milk, honey, and lemon juice. Refrigerate. Cleanse your face with a mix of milk, gram flour, and turmeric powder. Apply the paste on your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes or until it dries. Wash off with cool water while scrubbing your face gently. Dab your face dry with a soft towel. Apply rose water mixed with a drop of fresh milk cream.

How to treat very dry skin:

Mix a teaspoon of gram flour with lemon juice, milk cream, and honey. Apply the paste and leave on for 20 minutes or until it dries. Splash clean with cool water and apply a drop of milk cream all over.

How to remove freckles:

Dry skin is often afflicted by freckles. Add milk, rose water, carrot juice and cucumber juice to the above to remove freckles. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse off.

How to treat oily skin:

Use sandalwood powder and curd instead of milk cream and honey in your face mask. Apply it on your face to ensure a clear complexion.
