"An apple a day keeps a doctor away" is a tradition tag line, but what i believe is " Any whole fruit a day shall keep you healthy and gay". incorporating fruits in your daily meals ensures balanced nutritonal levels in the body. Fruits are rich vitamins and mineral and also contains phytonutrients which have antioxidant properties. They are excellent source of fiber and because of the enzymes present in the raw fruits they aid in proper digestion and absorption of food. Fiberous fruits help in keeping blood pressure in control, improves bowel movements and cut down your blood cholsterol.

A common questions asked by my clients are " Can we peel a fruit and have it?, what is the ideal time for eating a fruits? and which are best fruits for health?

Each fruit has its own story to tell. Citrus fruits like orange, sweet lime. gauva, amla are rich in vitamin C and vitamin A, so i advise to take these fruits preferably in the morning hours ( as mid-meals). This will enhance your whole days iron absorption as vit.C is required for it. Fruits like banana, papaya are good during constipation. Watermelon, cantaloupes and other melons are full of water and packed with vitamins which aid n weight loss and are also good for your skin. Best time to have a fruits is in between your meals and not with the meals.

Eating a fruit raw is the best option. Peeling fruits is of no good as you are taking the fiber and other nutritents off it. Fruits which are whole, fresh and raw are brimming with life and have the ability to give thier life forcrs to you....
