A vital role is definitely played by vitamin C, a primary element to strengthen the immune system, prevent tissue oxidation and help many other important functions of our body.

Here is a list of foods that are richest vitamin C sources:

  • Peppers (151 mg)
  • Broccoli and Rucola (110 mg)
  • Kiwi (85 mg)
  • Brussels cabbage and rapeseed (81 mg)
  • Cauliflower (59 mg)
  • Strawberries, clementines and spinach (54 mg)
  • Oranges (50 mg)

These are the most commonly used or readily available foods in the market or in large distribution. There are tropical fruits such as acerola, guava, papaya and mango that are rich in vitamin C but more difficult to find; if you are lucky enough to travel to the production areas of these fruits, use them at will because, in addition to being rich in vitamin C, they are very energetic.

Vegetables should also be classified as vitamin C rich in hot peppers, parsley, and dandelion; while the latter can be consumed in pleasant salads (the bitter flavor enriches the flavor of lettuce, it is also an excellent purifying.
