Did you know that like exercise singing too releases endorphins which are the happiness hormones? And let me tell you eating also make you happy especially if you are having fatty, greasy food, fish and chips or pakodas or may be French fries. Though this oily greasy food may not be good food may not be good for your heart, but they are excellent for your spirits. These oily foods give you morale boost and send an instant message to your brain that you are contended and happy. It gives you an instant high and makes the body feel that it has eaten well. Same goes for the deep fried donut, burger and fish and chips supper, if you have all these for dinner, the carbohydrates in them help the brain control levels of serotonin, a chemical that enhances mood.
Research has found out that those who eat fish feels happier than other people. This is because fish contains very high level of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which may help to regulate emotions. To keep our happiness quotient high we need to keep ourselves well hydrated. If we eat less or drink less water we feel irritated.
Last year around this time when I was feeling low I decided that I am going to bake cakes, muffins and cookies everyday and eat and distribute it amongst my friends or else call them over for a tea party and that actually made me feel happy. Appreciation from my friends, family members and the vanilla and apple and cinnamon essence flavor all around the house made me feel happy. My cakes brought a smile on everybody’s face and mine too!
