We all know about flaxseeds, prunes and apples and how they can be excellent anti-aging agents. But do you know that frozen berries are excellent anti-aging agents. They are in fact the best source of anti-oxidants. The anti-oxidants protect you from the clogged arteries to wrinkles. Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and cranberries contain ellagic acids and a large number of polyphenols, which inhibit tumor growth.

Frozen berries are as good as fresh ones because they are frozen when they are at their peak of ripeness. Hence all the nutrition is stored. You can add the frozen berries to your milk shakes and cereals. You can mix a few berries to your yoghurt and have it as a sweet dish when you having those terrible sweet cravings.

Nuts are another anti-aging food and a moderate amount of nuts are excellent for your diet. It contains high level of MUFA and hence has the power to reduce bad cholesterol. Whole grains are again excellent for fighting tummy fat. Whole grains also lower the risk of heart failure.

One should also consume ragi flour because it prevents anemia. It is a rich source of iron, calcium, B-complex and other vitamins. Ragi is good for the nervous system. Lack of B12 in the diet can lead to depression, anemia and lack of coordination in the body. So make it a habit to mix a little bit of ragi flour to your normal wheat flour and then make a chapatti.
