Check before you eat Shiny apple that we get even in India. WAX is being coated and then cold stored for preservation purpose. Especially apples are glazed with Shellac, made from a resin secreted by the female lack bug, on trees in the forests of India and Thailand.

 Ever since our first parents that were greedy of apple continued to our generation when we think of juicy and mouth watering apple.Such is the tendency of apple.

 Now a days the people prefer to eat fresh and shiny apples. Taking advantage of the consumer concept, the merchants are enriched to fill their pockets. In order to catch the eye of the consumer, invented the wax coating. A coating of wax helps seal in moisture extending storage life and minimizing the loss of weight for more than a year too. Some times it deceives our eyes as if they are of just from trees.

 How to detect: we can clearly notice a layer of wax when you scratch the apple with a blade or even with your nail.

 Never use detergent in cleaning apples.

 How to Clean: keep the apple in look warm water and rub the surface of the apple with cotton cloth or peel off the surface layer with a peeler.

 Side effects: Eating with wax develops Toxic hepatitis of your liver with in a couple of Hours or may take months when you eat regularly depends on you resistance which may damage liver permanently.
