Age based work outs are becoming the latest craze for fitness freaks. Tai-chi, aqua exercises and power yoga has become the most common and well known age-related exercises. There are less or no injuries in these exercises.

Aqua exercises are good for people above the age of forty because there is less possibilities of injuries. Group work out are good form of exercises because you get motivated by each other and you start putting in more effort. But at the same time there is a negative side to group exercises as well. It can be bit of a problem working out in groups when one or two have certain health problems.

Those suffering from joint paints, cervical or has a heart and blood pressure problem should avoid group exercises because in pushing yourself to keep pace with the others you might end up causing more harm to yourself. And above everything exercises should always be done under the guidance of fitness experts.  Those who have bone related problems like osteoporosis should do more of weight training exercises to strengthen their bones.

Those above thirty should do more of weight training and body weight exercises. No matter how regular you are with your exercises to maintain the right weight and to stay fit a balanced diet needs to be followed.  Have early dinner and avoid eating starchy food for dinner. Warm up before exercise is very important otherwise you will end up with some injuries. Have proteins and vegetables and soups for dinner.

For elderly people stretches are ideal for weight reduction as too much of jumping, skipping, running and fast jogging are not good for the knee and too much of it can lead to permanent injuries. While doing stretches and other forms of floor exercises which are very common with power yoga be very careful with your back and make it a point to maintain the correct posture.
