Family is an art in itself, which has to be handled with care. Parenting is an important part of family life. There are many ways in which parents could up bring their children in the right way.

Making the child to listen is an important part of parenting. There are some kids who do not listen to parents at all. Parents should make sure that when children do not listen they would face negative consequence and if they listen, it would be followed by positive consequence. Parents must take time to listen to their children when kids talk. Having fun with children strengthens the bond with the child. It brings positive attitude in the children and good behavior.

Parents do instruct their kids in many ways. But doing it in the right way is the key. Instructions should be clear and brief. It should be short and to the point. The child should understand instructions easily. Instructions should be given one at a time. It should also be realistic. The child should be in a position to follow the instructions. Big things cannot be expected from a small kid. Make the child understand what you want him or her to do and not what they should not do. This is a positive approach. Instructions should be firm. This would help the child understand that he or she has to do the job. Reward is something which attracts everyone. Rewarding the child for anything good he or she does makes them more positive minded and improves their behavior. Praising children whenever they deserve it is important.

Small things add great importance in good parenting. Every parent should realize that a child is a jewel in their hands.
