Over-exercising and improper diet can lead to infertility. Looking fit and being fit are two different things. Over-exercising and looking fit may cause internal damage. It has been found that those who exercise too much and are into strenuous sports can end up having fertility problems.

Women athletes generally have problem in conceiving because they have low Body Mass Index (BMI). Since sex hormones are fat soluble body mass plays a very important role in conceiving. Women with low BMI produce low estrogen level. Those women who do too much strenuous physical exercise have abnormal menstrual cycle or the menstrual cycle sometimes completely stops. A woman should have enough energy to maintain fertilization and if one continues to have rigorous physical exercises then the fertility level will definitely go down.

After work out when you are lacking in energy level completely it can definitely cause delayed pregnancy. Women who are into rigorous physical exercises are at more risk of infertility than women who don’t do any exercises. By following a rigorous fitness routine and following a low fat diet the body fat level goes down along with the energy level which leads to infertility. With the increase of body mass index the ovulation problem gets corrected. The exercise regime should be normal and healthy diet and caloric intake should be the main priority for the sake of the baby. Extreme physical activity can adversely affect the reproductive system.
