In a Sheduled Cast villege Gonpura Pokhra Par of Phulwari Sharif Block, till date more than hundred people lost their lives due to the out break of unknown diseases like Kalajar and swelling in stomach . The doctors have detected 50 people already suffering from this dreaded disease. The state energy minister has announced for a sivir to be organized by civil surgeon of Patna in the area.
A health check up shivir was organized today under the guidance of N G O Satyam Narsing home and Research Centre Private Limited. Senior doctor K N Singh diagnosed in the shivir, fifty persons suffering from kalajar and advised them to undergo the required treatment Free health checkup of patients were carried out along with check up of stomach, ear nose, throat, lever etc and free medicines were distributed among them. Other than Director Mr. Shyam Bihari Singh, Mr. Ravindra Kumar, Mr. Raj Kumar, Ms. Kolleshwari Devi and Mr. Devdutt Singh played an important roe Dr. Dharmedra Kumar, Dr. Rajdeo Kumar, Dr. Narendra Kumar, Dr. Rakesh Nayan and Dr. Shyam Kishore were mainly present in the shivir.
State Energy Minister Mr Shyam Rajak. MLC Prof. Gulam Gaus and Mr. Ram Kripal Yadav also visited the health check up shivir and met the local people, asked about their problems and announced to organize another shivir under the supervision of Patna Civil Surgeon. As per local residents around one hundred fifty people have already died and hundreds of children, youth, ladies and gents are suffering from shivering and swelling in the stomach. They also disclosed about the non availability of doctor in the local health care sub centre. They also said that no medicine is distributed by the medical assistants on duty on pretext of non availability of the medicine. The local Block Development Officer Mr. Surendra Rai present on the occasion asked the doctors to make proper arrangement in the health centre.
