Dear Friend,
 Just as there are many roads that lead to the top of the mountain , many streams that end up in the sea, many paths that lead to spiritual enlightenment and divine approval , so also there are several routes to good health. There are different ways to ensure that the human body stays healthy and well. Allopathy, Naturopathy, Homeopathy etc are ways to ensure that the body is cured from its diseased state. Modern medicine which is identified with conventional medicine or Allopathy , has made outstanding contributions to human body. Various fatal diseases and epidemics have been controlled and there have been remarkable advances in surgery. However, in recent times, as medicines and surgery are used as a quick relief tool , a number of drug induced ailments and complications have started arising. Also, modern medicine , although is helpful in combating stressful conditions related to lifestyle diseases such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Arthritis, Backache, High Cholesterol etc , is not able to cure these problems. Here comes the role of Complementary and Alternative medicines and therapies. It is commendable that such therapies and medicines are being increasingly sought for by the educated elite . However, the masses are showing an craze towards the pills and pricks of modern medicine. Hence, a greater awareness regarding natural techniques to heal up the body naturally has to be spread . These techniques apart from being low cost are also very effective. However, a word of caution may be given here that one should not use self healing practices through Alternative therapies but should consult a trained practitioner in the respective field .

    Yes, I agree with what is said on this Blog. Increasing incidence of "life-style illnesses" has made it imperative that other therapies be used along with Alloapthy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda etc. I personally lay great stress on Yoga and Pranayam which, when practised regularly, help to maitain good health and mitigate illness.
