When you are a working woman, wife, mom and home maker, all rolled into one, you would possibly have very little ‘me’ time. This means you would have no time at all for any personal good that you may intend to do to yourself, be it a bit of urgent shopping, a trip to the beauty parlor, or maintaining a regular exercise regimen.

But ladies, don’t be disheartened, as a new report says that you don’t have to walk or hit the gym for a precious hour to burn those calories. The new formula is: Have house work? Will slim down. And the same goes for your office too.

CBS News reports that while at home, a full night's sleep can help you burn around 200 calories. Spending an hour typing on the laptop cuts about 100 calories, which is equivalent to jumping rope for 10 minutes. When you cook your dinner on your own, it helps digest half of what you eat for dinner, that is, about 150 calories per hour. When you do your dishes with a dishwasher after dinner, it helps you burn 105 calories, and washing up by hand cuts up to 160 calories.

And there’s more - doing laundry burns up to 72 calories, while ironing for 30 minutes drops about 70 calories, while toning the muscles of the upper body.

Now girls, when in office, you must fidget all you can to burn off those extra calories. Tapping toes, moving around, or fussing with hands etc. are highly recommended. This burns up to 800 extra calories per day, the equivalent of an hour-long spin class.

In case you do happen to find time to visit a massage parlor, get an hour-long massage, as this can help you burn 230 calories – wow! This gives you the same results as an hour of lightweight training.

So think of all the tricks in the book to increase your metabolism and speed up digestion - and voila! You will see the fat disappear in the twinkling of a few days’ time!
