When my husband gifted me a Samsung galaxy tab last year, I shouted at him and said that he is wasting money and that there is no requirement for a tab. My son also added fuel to the fire by saying, “Ma doesn’t even use her smart phone that you gave her two years expect for receiving calls. She is happy with her old mobile. She doesn’t even know all the features. So it is better, I use the tab.” While the tab was taken away by my son and I was still fiddling with my mobile, I realized that probably I was doing the same thing with my own being. I realized that I treat myself the same way as I treat any new electronic gazettes and I don’t make full use of my inner strengths. Thus with this incident I began my journey of discovering and identifying my inner strengths. Now think of the times when you feel more energized and full of josh. What are the qualities or strengths you exhibit during those times?

THE ABILITY TO WORK HARD AND SMART- Devising the right strategies, following a disciplined work culture, being optimally productive, implementing plans and translating visions and ideas into results.

COMMUNICATIONN SKILLS- To be adept at verbal articulation, soft and well modulated voice, ability to listen.

BODY LANGUAGE- A straight posture, friendly gestures and an ability to smile and laugh easily.

THE RIGHT ATTITUDE- The ‘Can Do’ attitude is the best attitude. This includes having positive thoughts, laser-like focus, clarity of purpose, purposefulness and willingness to change, ability to apply what you learn and enthusiasm.

HIGH LEVEL OF SELF-CONFIDENCE- Trust your abilities, shouldering responsibility for your actions.

HAVING FULL FAITH IN THE PROCESS OF LIFE- The ability to enjoy life, making life a celebration of learning and growth, ability to make all life experiences-whether good or bad- a learning opportunity.

BEINGG CREATIVE- Constant innovation and improvement, the ability to move beyond your comfort zone, power of vivid imagination, curiosity.
