Like children our hair too shows signs of distress. It shows signs of dryness, dullness, weakness and split ends. These signs are cause of unhealthy aspects in our diets. To give your hair that instant wow look we needs to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

Constant exposure to sun light, pollution dries hair and makes the moisture of the hair to evaporate. When the surface of the hair feels rough and dry, this indicates that the cortex is also dry, as the natural moisture has escaped. Water content needs to be maintained to ensure healthy hair.

To re-hydrate hair wash hair with a shampoo and conditioner or else use a deep conditioning treatment. Hair is most week when is wet. So do not excessively squeeze your hair or rub it with a towel. Let it dry naturally. Social distress at home, in office, with your kids can lead to dull hair. And there is a new type of stress too called the Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), a type of depression linked to the changing seasons which mostly affects you during the hot humid summer months. All this stress leads to dull hair. So just lift up your spirits to get that shiny, bright hair.

If you love munching chips and chocolates and all things sweet and oily then it is sure that you will end up with a hair fall which can become severe. Lack of right nutrients damages hair and damages the hair cuticle. Arrange you life and do a little time management. Don’t use a brush on wet hair because it is weak at that time. Use a wide toothed comb, beginning half way down the hair shaft, gently working your way up to the roots. The tips of hair are the first to dry so avoid blow drying your hair very often. Don’t forget to condition your hair after shampooing. Don’t rinse the full conditioner from the hair, just leave a little amount on it. Oily fish such as salmon and tuna, flax seed oil, sunflower oil, pumpkin seeds and sesame seeds. Olive oil, mushroom, oranges and tomatoes are good for tress to distress.
