I am sure all of you must have suffered from symptoms of anxiety. Well, medications that the doctor gives you can help you only upto a certain extent. In addition if you do not take your medications, you will experience those dame anxiety symptoms again. However from my own experience I can tell you deep breathing helps you feel light and less anxious over a period of time.
These deep breathing exercises can be done sitting erect or lying down. Make sure the breathing is deep from the rib bone in your chest. Follow this mental exercise of imagining a light coming into your body as you inhale air and feel that all your tensions are goping away as you exhale air. Make sure you hold your breath after each inhalation and then let go. Both inhalation and exhalation should be done gradually and you should be able to experience the air come in and go out.
You will experience great relief from your anxiety feelings. Habitual worriers can cultivate the habit of doing these deep breathing exercises once or twice daily. I wish that all of you are rid of anxiety feelings and feel real light in your mind and body.
