Sex is the biological requirement of our body.  We know its essentiality for race maintenance and reproduction. What we don’t know is its benefits other than mere pleasure. Sex can improve our health and increase the life’s quality.

The scientifically proven boons and benefits include both the emotional and psychological perspectives. Immunoglobulin- the antibodies are known to be produced in couples having sex twice a week.

Quite common is the practice of reducing stress by having sex with partners. A feeling of well being is generated and the blood pressure is also significantly lowered. Oxytocin – The love hormone or cupid’s hormone is responsible for building intimacy or togetherness in couples. Couples are emotionally bonded and develop mutual trust. The pain sensation is also diminished by endorphins, released during sex. Good and sound sleep is induced by oxytocin.

The risks of prostate cancer are also reduced by healthy sex. There is simply nothing wrong in fantasizing, provided it does not interfere in your relationship. Sex is an exercise too and about 85 calories are burnt by having 30 minutes of sex.

We therefore see sex benefitting us in many ways. Though its primary aim is pleasure, but it has other important benefits too.
