I thought I would share this wonderful news with you. I am sure all of us wish to be healthy and contribute to the good health of our family. I have just practised this habit and I am sure we all can contribute to the good health of our family.
I found when we fixed up a fixed mealtime; dinnertime when all of us were at home after a hard day at work, we did pick up healthy habits that contributed to a better physical and mental health. We shared all our days happenings with each other and were in a position to air out our feelings and help each other with advice and counsel. This lead to stronger family ties and stronger emotional health.
Besides the food we ate was healthy as the cooking was just done before dinner time and there was no need to reheat food often. In addition, everyone learned to eat a common food and cultivated better and healthy habits by seeing others. Even young children learned to appreciate healthy food. .
Many small differences in the family are settled easily on the dinner table during mealtimes that were familytimes. Since everyone is present, even children can learn to understand happenings in their family and is able to watch and learn about problem solving. Mealtimes being familytimes elimiates foul language by children and makes them learn table manners leading to healthy emotional growth too. The habit of sharing and tolerance leads to better stress managment skill even in children.
So consider it your privilage to make your family healthy by making a habit of making your mealtimes a good and fruitful familytime.
